| Ana Paula Silvestre asked:
Hello, I am a gender researcher and i'm interested in know more about the gender mainstreaming inside the non gubernamnetal organizations who works in development(DNGO's). I know that there are some diagnosis studies of gender perspective in DNGOs of Catalonia, Spain and other PHD's works about it, but now i'm really looking for manuals training or documents of good practices of DNGO in incorporating a gender perspective on their laboral relations and professional works on promoting development.

What did the CoP respond?
One of our members replied to the question in the following way:
The board of OXFAM Canada took a decision several years ago to place gender equality and women's rights at the centre of their programming, so since then they have systematically been trying to do what the person making the query asked about. That agency and the other OXFAMs in different countries are some likely sources of potentially useful information.

I think the work of InterAction in this area would be of interest. They have a publication called the "the Power of Gender Mainstreaming" which is a study of implementing GM in NGOs.
