Noreen Khan is currently the Gender Specialist in the Gender and Rights Unit, Division of Policy and Practice in UNICEF’s New York, responsible for the development and application of gender mainstreaming and integration of women’s and girls rights in the policies and programmes of UNICEF and including support to the CEDAW treaty body reporting mechanism. Her technical areas of expertise are socio-cultural analysis, gender analysis and development of learning tools on gender and women’s and children’s rights. She has extensive experience at national and internal levels in development, gender equality with a strong focus on women’s and girl’s rights. Strong history of effective collaboration and partnership building between UN agencies and other partners around women’s and children’s rights. Additional areas of specialization include women’s rights within the human rights discourse, gender and humanitarian response. |
