2. Networks on UN Security Council Resolution 1325

UN Interagency Taskforce on Women, Peace and Security
UN-INSTRAW is an active member of the UN Interagency Taskforce on Women, Peace and Security, which promotes the UN system-wide implementation of SCR 1325. A UN System-wide Action Plan on women peace and security has been developed, which the gender, peace and security programme actively promotes in its project development, research and capacity building activities.


3. Networks on Gender and Security Sector Reform

Gender and Security Sector Reform Working Group
INSTRAW and DCAF have jointly launched the Gender and Security Sector Reform Working Group, which aims to serve as an initiator, resource and facilitator for efforts to mainstream gender issues into SSR initiatives, policies and tools.

Gender and Security Sector Reform Network
This Network aims to support the interactive exchange of information on gender and SSR issues amongst more than 200 members worldwide.


4. Networks on Gender Training for Security Sector Personnel

Network on Gender Training for Security Sector Personnel
During a three-week discussion, more than 140 experts from various areas of the security sector, academia, international organizations, etc. and from around the world exchanged experiences and discussed good and bad practices for implementing and evaluating gender training for security sector personnel. For further discussion and information sharing this network is currently active.
