In poor countries, imposed neo-liberal structural reforms have resulted in increased poverty in many countries, motivating women to integrate into the labour market, local or internationally. In rich countries, they supply the demand in domestic services by households in which women have been integrated into the labour market and where the household chores have not been spread evenly.
