INSTRAW's Executive Board met in a resumed second session held on 31 October 2005 to consider a fund-raising strategy for the Institute. The documents considered by the Board are listed below:

On June 1st 2005, INSTRAW's Executive Board held its second session in order to discuss the Institute's progress in 2004-2005, and its proposed plan of work and budget for 2006. The documents considered by the Board are listed below:

On October 1st 2004, INSTRAW's Executive Board resumed its first session (held initially in July 2004) in order to discuss the Institute's progress in 2004, and plans for 2005. The documents considered by the board are listed below:

Prior to the establishment of the INSTRAW Executive Board in 2004, INSTRAW was governed by a Board of Trustees, composed of representatives appointed in their individual capacities - rather than the representatives of UN Member States that currently make up the Executive Board.
