Centre for Arab Women Training and Research (CAWTAR)

UN-INSTRAW is working with CAWTAR to implement a project on “Strengthening Women’s Leadership in Politics and Decision-Making in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia,” which aims to foster policy dialogue and debate on women’s participation in politics and decision-making; raise awareness of women’s actual and potential political roles through the media; and (iii) create stronger and more effective advocacy for women’s participation in politics and decision-making.



Filipino Women’s Council (FWC)

UN-INSTRAW has partnered with FWC for the implementation of the “Gender Dimensions of Remittances: Their flows, uses and development impacts in the Philippines” project (2007-2008), which seeks to analyze women’s migration and remittances between Italy and the Philippines from a gender perspective. 



Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF)
UN-INSTRAW, in collaboration with DCAF and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) is developing a toolkit on Gender and Security Sector Reform, which aims to facilitate gender mainstreaming in specific security sectors (police, defense, national parliaments, civil society, border guards, etc.) by providing concrete examples and practical recommendations to SSR practitioners.
