The 20th of September UN-INSTRAW Gender, Peace and Security Programme facilitated together with the UNDP BCPR (Bureau for Conflict Prevention and Recovery) Senior Gender Advisor and gender team two simultaneous workshops for UNDP BCPR headquarter offices in New York and Geneva on gender mainstreaming.
The aim of this workshop was to create ownership of the 8 point agenda -BCPR's gender mainstreaming objectives for the empowerment of women and gender responsive programmes and projects- identify a systematic strategy to monitor and evaluate gender mainstreaming efforts and further needs regarding materials, capacity building and resources. UN-INSTRAW is looking forward to more collaboration on this topic with UNDP BCPR.
