In 2008 The Network of East-West Women/Polska (NEWW) will initiate a two-year project called "Women’s Economic and Political Institute" aimed at contributing towards expanding an underdeveloped area of economic justice for women in Central and Eastern Europe and the Newly-Independent States (CEE/NIS).
The UN Committee on Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) recently finished an evaluation of Serbia’s compliance with the Convention on Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), which Serbia signed in 2006.
The Center for Women's Global Leadership Organizes the Campaign to End Violence against Women, 25 November-10 December 10, 2007. The Campaign theme for 2007 is “Demanding Implementation, Challenging Obstacles: End Violence Against Women”.
