The United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC), South Asia, and the Gender Training Institute (GTI) of the Centre for Social Research (CSR), New Delhi have released a training manual for police officers dealing with cases of human trafficking in India.

Experts in Nigeria are campaigning for the inclusion of a gender perspective in all policy-making areas in Nigeria. Trade Network Initiative (TNI) organized the National Workshop on Gender, Trade and Poverty, which concluded that Nigerian development policies disregarded issues relating to gender equality.

A Magna Carta for Women is nearing passage in both the Philippine House of Representatives and Senate. The Magna Carta, House Bill (HB) 4273/Senate Bill 2396 will institutionally solidify gender provisions in the nation’s policy framework. It is currently pending for a second reading in the Senate.
