The bi-annual academic journal of Women for Women International aims to raise awareness and promote debate among a variety of audiences about the importance of women's participation in development and reconstruction, and to discuss the unique contributions that women can make to these processes.

Academics, NGO leaders, policy-makers, or other interested individuals are invited to submit contributions to the upcoming issue of Critical Half by clicking on the “Call for Papers” link on the Women for Women website page.

The next bi-annual issue will be entitled “Exploring Strategies and Issues of Women in Leadership Positions”, focusing on women’s leadership in various contexts, such as political, grassroots/activist, organizational, and other leadership roles and forms of communication. The deadline for the submission of contributions is 15 December 2007.
