Beijing at 10: Putting Policy into Practice

INSTRAW has joined the global movement to review the implementation of the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women (Beijing, 1995) by preparing overview reports on each of the Platform’s 12 Critical Areas. Building on the wealth of information available from various sources, the reports were prepared with two objectives in mind: i) to highlight successful experiences, or "best practices" for addressing gender equality issues at the local, national and international levels, and ii) to identify priority areas for future action.

New Voices, New Perspectives Paper Series

In order to create a space for new voices in the spheres of academia, policy-making and practice, INSTRAW is launching a research-paper series directed towards post-graduate students worldwide. The first group of papers includes the following titles, among others:
