Hilary Anderson works as gender specialist in the Inter-American Commission of Women. She obtained her Master’s degree in Gender and Development Studies from McGill University in Montreal, and worked as Information Officer at UN-INSTRAW from June 2004, to November 2009 where she managed the Knowledge Management Programme, as well as the Gender, Peace and Security Programme.
Before arriving at UN-INSTRAW, Ms. Anderson served with the Gender and Health Unit at the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in Washington D.C., where she worked as a gender specialist on the violence against women and gender mainstreaming programmes, as well as the Unit’s Knowledge Management programme.
