Jennifer Lewis was an intern with the Gender Training CoP at UN-INSTRAW. She has worked with the International Women's Tribune Centre in New York City, as part of the coordinating team for their radio drama series, The Open Cage, which was broadcast across Uganda in April-May 2008. In addition, she helped organize events and outreach during CSW 2008 and assisted with research and the production of IWTC Women's Globalnet. Jennifer is a recent graduate of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, where she obtained her Masters degree in Gender Studies with an emphasis on East Africa. Prior to attending SOAS, she was the Creative and Marketing Director for Doc's Duds, a company which creates specifically female physician's apparel. She has worked at community level in Tanzania and Vietnam, as well as had a previous career in the performing arts. She holds a BFA in Music/Theatre from The University of the Arts.
