Financing for Development programme is currently implementing its Inception Phase. The so-called project “Supporting the monitoring of aid effectiveness with a gender perspective” aims to promote study, research, capacity building and political dialogue on the agreements and actions on financing for development, focusing in six countries: Cambodia, Guatemala, Morocco, Mozambique, Peru and Viet-Nam
It will also contribute to strengthen capacities of civil society organizations dedicated to women’s empowerment and gender equality to monitor aid flows and their impacts form a gender perspective.
It is foreseen to build alliances with key stakeholders and partners from each country under studying. Among potential partners are 1) universities and research institutes to develop evaluations and coordinate activities; 2) NGOs, civil society coalitions, women’s movements and organizations and other civil society organizations related to gender equality and aid effectiveness, as well as 3) global networks and virtual platforms on Aid Effectiveness: RED GEDEA, International Organizations, and UN agencies.
