UN-INSTRAW is developing a Community of Practice (CoP) on Gender Training, which aims to bring together practitioners from around the world to share their knowledge and expertise on the gender training. The CoP will promote dialogue and analysis of the current state of gender training,and identify recommendations to improve its impact and sustainability.

The UN-INSTRAW CoP consists of several components: the tracking and analysis of experience with gender training over time; the production of consolidated resources; examples and templates for key documents associated with successful gender training; and a who's who of CoP participants. Activities planned for the first year include virtual dialogues on gender training, a forum for continuous reflection and feedback on capacity-building experiences, and a clearinghouse of gender training materials, courses and institutions that builds on UN-INSTRAW's Gender Training Wiki.

As an ongoing project, the CoP will evolve over time and with the contributions of its many participants. Join UN-INSTRAW in this dynamic initiative and help strengthen gender training and gender mainstreaming.
