On May 26th 2006, UN-INSTRAW participated in a conference organized by the Council of Ministers for Women’s Affairs in Central America (COMMCA) in Panama City. In the event, representatives from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Mexico and Panama.
During the conference the Ministers of the Latin American countries agreed to increase the capacity of women in order to ensure equal opportunities of employment, well-being and economical development in the region.
