When I first step foot in Oklahoma I had a Bachelor's degree and years of teaching experience and the old saying is "experience is the best teacher". I had both but still could not find lucrative employment as a teacher here so I went back to college to get a Master's Degree where the only job offered to me was working 12 hours beside newly arrived Hispanics in a cold chicken packing plant for 12 hours. When I developed carpal tunnel syndrome from the cold--I continued to apply for jobs in my field. The only job I could get was to teach 2nd grade class 150 miles away during the high gasoline prices period even though there are public school districts within ten miles of where I live. Presently I am working on a doctorate degree in education and still can not find employment. I do not have health care insurance and am in need of better housing. Even though it is a crime to discriminate in hiring under laws enforced by the goverment agency called the E.E.O.C., I still am unemployed and have filed several complaints and lawsuits--even though I was unable to get a lawyer I tried to represent myself. I need employment or funds to start my own school, to help in implementing enforcement of equal employment laws, to help fight human trafficking here especially women and children and for self efficacy.
