Methodology

The project has a scientific, academic and empiric methodology, matching the initial participatory needs assessment (research oriented to action, validation of the research findings) together with plan of action (capacity building, advocacy, political dialogue, communication) and considering ongoing social and political mutations in the three countries concerned.

The interventions are considered in a regional and participatory approach. The regional approach facilitates the exchange of experiences and lessons learned and strength the coordination of various stakeholders, regional networks and associations of women and men who work in field of gender issues, female legislators, leaders of civil society organisations, and stakeholders who work on these issues from other geographical areas.

The regional approach does not mean that national and local characteristics are excluded at any time in designing and conducting interventions. With this purpose in mind, the participatory approach of the project is conducive to and ensures a joint-effort process to be coordinated on an ongoing basis with the counterparts and key stakeholders with a view having the approach itself meet specific national and local needs. As such, the project has a local and participatory dimension but maintain a regional approach.
