Description :

This course specifically aims to strengthen the capacity of researchers, planners and practitioners to mainstream gender in their work, making their interventions more politically, socially and economically just and more efficient in the eradication of poverty. Participants' own work is central to the course, which facilitates the development of sectoral and organisational gender expertise.

The course objectives are:

  • to develop tools to undertake gender-aware diagnosis and dialogue
  • to develop participatory and operational tools to mainstream gender effectively at policy, programme and project levels
  • to provide skills for incorporating a gender perspective into organisational development
  • to create training capacity in gender policy and planning.
