Women and men’s roles and positions in society are socially constructed; accordingly, their experiences of the world in which they live in are distinctive. Gendered social structures influence the extent to which policies, projects and programs impact on women and men. Monitoring and evaluation frameworks should ensure that capturing both men’s and women’s experience is an integral component of the process. This introductory workshop will engage participants and encourage them to exploring why it is important to incorporate gender whilst addressing practical approaches and methodologies for incorporating gender into evaluation. |
